Hi All,
Just a quick note to mention that the nordic center is now officially closed. We have already begun the summer work projects with applications going in for grants and tenure applications to the government for trail expansion and eventual DAYLODGE construction. WooHoo!
If anyone would like to put some tinme in out on teh trails this summer let me know. The area will be buzzing with activity as we create 5km of new trails above the existing Beaver loop that are unbelieveably beautiful. They have all been flagged already. Also our stadium will be completed this year to position us to be able to hold bigger events on our trails.
Stay tuned throughout the summer for random updates here with photos of our progress.

Hi, I'm the Trip coordinator for the vancouver Skier Cross Country ski club. We're looking for new ski destinations for our 2009/10 season and one of our members met one of your skiers who suggested the Golden area. Our trip would likely run as follows: we depart Vancouver early Wednesday (by chartered bus), ski at Larch Hills and overnight in Salmon Arm.
Thursday - Saturday we ski other areas in and around Golden.
Can you suggest other nearby ski areas around that privide good track skiing?
